Kitchen/Living Space
27 JanuaryThis beautiful home overlooking the ocean needed a fresh, updated look. We started this project by picking some vibrant fabrics to re-cover the existing cornice boxes. Adding grommet panels in the same fabric to the patio door gave a full punch of color to this amazing space but also allowed the client to open the panels to reveal a full view of the ocean through the patio door.
The windows in the breakfast nook also needed a punch of color but also protection from the sun when it is at its brightest. Custom made roman shades allowed the client to open and close the shades like a blind but also keep the look of a valance when it is up. A red and blue stripe was chosen to compliment the red and blue pattern in the family room. A fresh coat of paint with a faux finish helped bring both rooms together in a fun and sunny ocean side home.
Brine’s Decorating also re-upholstered some furniture for the family room. The first piece of furniture to get a “make-over” was the loveseat. A casual denim fabric was found to cozy up this little space while a fun pin stripe for the chair across the room added a punch of color directly below the bright cornice boxes.
